Maternity Nurse Agency and Night Nanny Agency, London. Maternally Yours

Why Book A Post Partum Caregiver?

To enjoy this magical time, parents should have the support of a true professional

Our experienced Night Nannies and Maternity Nurses dedicate themselves to caring for mother and baby while teaching and guiding every step of the way. Recovering from the birth will require ample rest and booking post-partum care will provide hands-on support to facilitate this.

By booking a Maternally Yours caregiver you will feel reassured that mother and baby’s needs are being met in every way, helping to alleviate feelings of anxiety and doubt that new parents can feel. She will assess your individual family and set up a manageable routine for both you and your family which, when established from the very beginning, will lay the foundation for effective sleeping habits that will be maintained throughout your baby’s growth and development. As a professional, she will, of course, be as hands-on and involved as you wish her to be.

Our professional caregivers undertake a broad range of duties and will:

  • Establish the all-important feeding/sleeping/playing routine, making sure your baby is soothed, settled and secure
  • Allay any fears you may have as new parents
  • Teach breastfeeding techniques, if that is your preference, making sure your baby ‘latches on’ correctly and isn’t just ‘comfort sucking’
  • Alternatively, guide you with bottle feeding
  • Monitor your baby’s growth and weight gain
  • Ensure you have plenty of rest for optimum milk production and post-partum recovery
  • Bring your baby to you during the night if you are breastfeeding and then settling baby, allowing parents to go back to sleep
  • Or conversely, feed your baby through the night with expressed milk or formula – the choice is yours
  • Help you master the tricks of winding effectively while supporting you with knowledge and experience
  • Take care of the nursery, and launder bedding and clothing
  • Sterilise feeding and expressing equipment
  • Identify common issues/conditions, such as colic and reflux, and assist with effectively managing them
  • Ensure your baby’s comfort at all times through confident and soothing handling
